Florida Turbine Technologies, Inc. provides the following gas turbine services to offer original equipment manufacturers of industrial gas turbines and aeroengines, NASA and the US Military, the best in:

Extensive Lab Testing Capabilities
Test coupons, sub-elements, sub-scale test articles, and full-scale hardware are routinely tested under a variety of conditions.  Static and dynamic characterization is used for design validation in FTT’s structural testing laboratory.  Specialized capabilities in this area include holography, modal analysis, Stress Pattern Analysis by Thermal Emission (SPATE), vibration testing, stress ratio determination, low cycle fatigue testing, high cycle fatigue testing, combined load testing, design limit testing, wear and damper testing.  FTT’s aero-thermal services include, but are not limited to, analytical data matching, flow visualization, and flow and pressure drop characterization.  These services allow our customers to increase component durability and performance.  Specializing in compression and expansion turbomachinery systems, combustion systems, heat exchangers, and inlet/exhaust systems, FTT's laboratory serves as a one-stop shopping center for "test-ready" demonstrator engine, component, and rig test articles.  Packages are available for both static and rotating hardware.  For a closer look at FTT's lab testing capabilities, please visit our Testing & Instrumentation site.


Analytical Support
FTT's engineering staff is skilled in a wide variety of analytical codes and have created a wide array of in-house codes. Numerous structural analysis codes are used at FTT to perform everything from fracture analysis to predictions for remaining part life. These codes include ANSYS, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, SCO3, NASGRO, Franc3D, and LSDyna. Computing capabilities for systems analysis include NASA NPSS, TECAP, and GATECYCLE. FTT's aerodynamics group utilizes calibrated 1D meanline design and off-design codes, 2D thruflow, and airfoil profile design, as well as Corsair, Fluent, TASCFlow, CFX-5, and ICEMCFD for 3D steady and unsteady solutions. Analytical codes used in heat transfer and secondary flow include Easy5, ANSYS, SCO3, and a variety of CFD codes. FTT designers and modelers routinely use many of the computer-aided design software systems, including CATIA, Unigraphics, ProE, and AutoCad.
